2007- The year of obtaining Knowledge
I have been reading Ali Edwards blog about picking a word for the year. For me that wasnt too hard.
But I was going to use the word knowledge. But the word knowledge means what is already known. And there is so much knowledge I want to obtain.
So my word for this year is LEARN
This is my year. 2007 will be my year of
learning. Not just about other things, like Adobe, Web-design, and more
photography based things, but also about me. I want to spend this year soaking in new things. I want to be a student this year. And in that, I will have to find
balance. Let go of things that don’t
matter. Move forward in my head.
2007 is a year of change. A word that I
haven’t liked in the past, but do now. Change to make a better me. Change to make a better future. Knowing that
the year ahead will be full of its own set of challenges, but knowing that some
of those challenges will bring about a new me. Working towards dreams and goals
that I see in my future. Without
learning new things, some of those dreams will never become a reality. Time to take a step forward. Stepping in a
new direction, with hope and renewed spirit.
Whether that will mean a change in job or not, I am
unsure. But I do now that I need to be
motivated towards an end goal. Those goals will be photography based, as that
is my passion. Working in the photo-lab
for the last 16 months has been its own learning curve. With its own set of challenges. But it has been a step forward in the right
direction for me.I want so much from this year. Learning to be a better person, to respond
with Gods love. Learning more about God thru His word, thru prayer, and thru
fellowship with other believers. Learning about my body. Becoming a fitter person. Becoming a
healthier person. Being a committed person. I think that will give
me a good and full year.
Maybe the only other thing that I can think of right now is to work on what inspires me. What gives me passion and makes me take that perfect shot, or make the perfect page. I don’t you can learn to be inspired thou, Inspiration just happens!
I believe that the year 2007 is a year of change. This is the year of getting out of our comfort zone. For me, I want it to be a year of obtaining knowledge.
Heres to 2007 and all that it holds.
Whats your word for this year??

New to your blog, but I found this a very inspirational sort of a post which I can very much relate to. I got two wordsa for the year, learn, and live.
I'm a Lindenow girl, by the way. I'm 32, been working in factories all my life but last year I had an awakening....I've had them before, but not like this. I chucked my job in and enrolled in a full time photoimaging course....Absolutely the most disruptive trun my life could have taken, but I have not one single regret and I have never been happier.
It's been a process of making myself look forward instead of back, and confronting change. For many years it was an idea that scared the hell out of me, and now I'm loving it.
I love your images, good luck with it all and may this year be a....special one for you.
